Honduras supports SELA's work and builds common agenda for integration

The Permanent Secretary of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA), Ambassador Clarems Endara, received the Ambassador of Honduras in Venezuela, Scarleth Romero, who highlighted her support to SELA's management and reiterated her commitment to advance in the construction of a common agenda for the development and integration of the region. 

“There will always be differences (...) but as long as the objectives of integration, peace and respect for the self-determination of peoples are clear, we will be able to build an agenda that responds to the interests for the well-being of the region,” the Ambassador of Honduras in Venezuela said. 

The Permanent Secretary of SELA detailed the achievements of the multi-year Work Programme and highlighted the activities of the update of this plan for the year 2023, focusing on the areas of Economic Recovery, Social Development and Digitalisation, within the framework of its commitment to convergence for integration. 

Honduras has been a Member State of SELA since 14 June 1976, and has always been close to the integration and economic development policies of the region.
