SELA and Peruvian University of Applied Sciences promote partnership to foster knowledge on economic and social development

The Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) and the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC) have agreed to carry out joint actions to promote knowledge in economic and sustainable and inclusive social development, for the region, through a Memorandum of Understanding.

The agreement was signed on Tuesday 20 April 2021 in Lima by the Permanent Secretary of SELA, Ambassador Javier Paulinich, and the rector of the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences S.A.C., Edward Roekaert Embrechts.

The parties may carry out joint activities at the technical and institutional level mainly: by organizing face-to-face or virtual meetings, seminars, workshops and training sessions in the field of economic and social development, as well as arranging advice and agreeing on research studies on the topics deemed appropriate to contribute to reaching each other's objectives.

SELA is a regional inter-governmental organisation that seeks to reach common economic and cooperation strategies among its 26 Member States. On the other hand, the UPC is a university whose purposes are education, as well as scientific and applied research.
