SELA and UCV sign institutional cooperation agreement

The Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) signed a letter of intent with the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) to promote academic exchanges for the development of the region.

The Permanent Secretary of SELA, Ambassador Clarems Endara, and the Director for University Extension of the UCV, Professor Rafael Mucci, signed the letter of intent at the headquarters of the organisation, with the purpose of organising and coordinating spaces for the construction of knowledge, as well as collaborating in research, projects and studies not leading to an academic degree, in addition to the development of activities, internships and cooperation workshops.

"Organise seminars, seminars, workshops, diploma courses, conferences, discussions, meetings, congresses and training sessions on topics of mutual interest in person or virtually (...) collaborate in studies and projects in the areas of business creation and management, popular economics and finance, quality management and innovation, development management, risk and disaster management, family business management, financial management and risk management, tax law, international taxation, financial and stock market law, climate change, human rights, individual and collective health, history, cultural studies, literary studies, digital communication, among others," are part of the objectives of the alliance.

The two-year cooperation agreement contributes to SELA's Work Programme, in its areas of Economic Recovery, Social Development and Digitalisation, to promote sustainable and inclusive development in Latin America and the Caribbean for greater integration of the region through technical and institutional cooperation actions.
