El Salvador advances in its efforts to join the Network of Digital and Collaborative Ports

The Permanent Secretary of SELA, Ambassador Clarems Endara, met with the Vice-Minister of Transport of El Salvador, Saúl Castelar, as well as with representatives of the Maritime Authority and the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA) - Port of Acajutla, to present the Project of the Network of Digital and Collaborative Ports and coordinate strategies to strengthen economic recovery and regional integration

During the meeting, the Permanent Secretary of SELA presented the scope and achievements of the Network of Digital and Collaborative Ports for the coordination of the regional port sector, as well as the action plan within the framework of the Economic Recovery Area of the organisation's multi-year Work Programme.

The Vice-Minister of Transport of El Salvador, Saúl Castelar, supported the work of SELA and the progress made towards joining the Port Network, for which formal procedures will be conducted through the Maritime Authority of El Salvador and CEPA (Autonomous Executive Port Commission), the bodies responsible for the port system in El Salvador.
