Ernesto Samper and Celso Amorin to participate in forum on integration organized by SELA

On 30 November, the Permanent Secretariat of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) will hold the Forum “Regional integration, perspectives and experiences of Latin America and the Caribbean,” which aims to discuss common support strategies that can be implemented in regional, subregional, and multilateral mechanisms in favour of integration for the development of the region.

The forum will be introduced by the Permanent Secretary of SELA, Ambassador Clarems Endara, and moderated by the Ambassador of Argentina in Venezuela, Oscar Laborde. Special guests include Ernesto Samper, former President of the Republic of Colombia and Chairman of Cooperation Scenarios, and Celso Amorín, former Foreign Minister of Brazil.

Within the framework of the efforts to advance towards regional integration, SELA is organising this event with high-level personalities to analyse and contextualise the challenges facing the region, in order to promote cooperation and convergence among the various regional actors and foster integration for the development of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Forum “Regional integration, perspectives and experiences of Latin America and the Caribbean” will be held within the framework of the XLVIII Regular Meeting of the Latin American Council of SELA, at the headquarters of the organization in Caracas, on Wednesday 30 November at 4:00 pm (Venezuelan time). It will be held in hybrid modality (virtual and face-to-face). For more information and registration, please click here or visit SELA’s Web site wwww.sela.org
