SELA condemns incidents in the United States

Caracas, 12 Sept.- The Permanent Secretary of SELA, Ambassador Otto Boye,
today expressed this institution's solidarity with the people and authorities of the United States, due to the incidents which took place yesterday, in that country, condemning such actions affecting the entire civilization.

Today, at the inauguration of a conference held in the headquarters of SELA and presided over by the prominent Argentinian economist Aldo Ferrer, Boye requested the participants, which included members of the diplomatic corps and Venezuelan political and economic personalities, to be silent for a minute, in memory of the victims of this tragedy.

"The incidents which occurred yesterday in the United States, affected all of us and in some way, little by little, will change our outlook towards the future," said Boye.

"We would like to express to the public, on behalf of the Permanent Secretariat of SELA, our condemnation of these actions and our solidarity with the people and authorities of the United States. This in fact, affects all of us, as civilized people, trying to find peaceful paths for development," stated the Chilean diplomat.
