 Electronic Conference
on the International Financial Crisis

Caracas, 15 january.- The Latin American Economic System (SELA), under the auspices of UNESCO, will be hosting an electronic conference on the international financial crisis and the economic and trade impact it will have on Latin America and the Caribbean.

The speaker will be the Permanent Secretariat of the Latin American Economic System, Ambassador Carlos Moneta, of Argentinean nationality and a specialist in International Relations. His ample experience includes having been an advisor and consultant to a large number of international organizations, including the IDB, ECLAC, ALADI, and UNDP. In 1995, Ambassador Moneta was elected Permanent Secretary of SELA. He has also been both professor and researcher at universities in several Latin American countries as well as in the United States of America.
