SELA congratulates the new Secretary General of Caricom

The Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) congratulates the Secretary General of the Caribbean Community, Belizean Carla Barnett, who took office on Tuesday, 17 August 2021.

Barnett is the first woman and citizen of that country to hold the post, and she anticipates a fruitful working relationship between the two organizations.

The new secretary general of Caricom takes on new challenges to advance integration and cooperation throughout the region.
