SELA and ULAC sign Cooperation Framework Agreement

The Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA) and the Latin American and Caribbean University (ULAC) signed a Framework Cooperation Agreement to promote knowledge in the areas of Integration, Economic Development, Digital Transformation and Social, Sustainable and Inclusive Development for Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Permanent Secretary of SELA, Ambassador Clarems Endara, explained that this strategic cooperation partnership maintains areas of knowledge linked to the organisation's multi-year Work Programme, which will allow for making progress in academic cooperation for integration.

Through this agreement, ULAC will be in charge of providing institutional technical support to SELA, as well as strengthening the construction of knowledge in the region with scholarships, either full or subsidized, for the Member States of the organisation. For its part, SELA will provide the specialised technical capacities of its staff for cooperation and consultancy purposes, in addition to rendering technical support as required for the exchange of information, documentation, knowledge, promotion and dissemination on issues of interest to both institutions.

SELA and ULAC have proposed to promote efforts that can contribute to sustainable and inclusive economic and social development in Latin America and the Caribbean, for greater integration of the region through technical and institutional cooperation actions.
